Professor Epameinondas Spiliotopoulos has sadly passed away
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing away of Epameinondas Spiliotopoulos, a very close friend of EPLO, Emeritus Professor of the University of Athens, distinguished lawyer and former president of the Academy of Athens (2014).
Epameinondas Spiliotopoulos passed away yesterday at the age of 97. He has been a long standing member of the European Group of Public law and was offered a laudatio at the Annual Reunion of the Group in 2014.
He was one of the most distinguished Greek jurists and professor of Administrative Law at the Law School of National and Capodistrian University of Athens where he inspired generations of students and scientists. He founded the branch of Public Law at the Law School and contributed decisively to the creation of the relevant Sector.
We would like to send our most sincere condolences to his family.
