Treaty for the establishment of the EPLO Office in Ukraine ratified by Parliament

Athens, July 16, 2025

The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) is pleased to announce a significant institutional milestone: the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has officially ratified the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the European Public Law Organization on the establishment of an EPLO Office in Ukraine. The Law, registered under No. 0310, was adopted in its entirety by the Ukrainian Parliament on July 15, 2025.

This ratification marks the completion of Ukraine’s internal legal procedures for the Agreement’s entry into force, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On International Treaties of Ukraine." The legislation has now been transmitted to the President of Ukraine for signature, as reflected in the official status update available on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

The establishment of an EPLO Office in Ukraine affirms the Organization’s commitment to supporting Ukraine’s ongoing legal reform process and European integration efforts. The EPLO’s permanent presence in the country will foster the development of the rule of law and democratic governance, facilitate training programs for legal professionals, and create further opportunities for institutional cooperation.

The EPLO welcomes this development as a vital step toward deepening its engagement in Ukraine and the wider region, and extends its gratitude to the Ukrainian authorities for their commitment to shared values and the strengthening of public law institutions.
