Official Participation in the Campaign of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA)
The European Institute of Management and Governance of EPLO has been officially accepted as a partner in the campaign of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA).This Agency is committed to making Europe a safer, healthier and more productive place to work. It promotes a culture of risk prevention to improve working conditions in Europe. For the years 2013-2015 has started a pan- European campaign about the stress in workplace. The European Institute of Management and Governance of the EPLO, participates in the above campaign, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Welfare, with a one day workshop on:
«The management of stress and psychosocial risks in the Public Sector ».
The aim of the workshop was the reveal and transfer of good practices for the management of work stress in Public Administration.
The workshop took place on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, in Athens. It is the first in Greece for the Public Administration in general. Turnout was massive and the main conclusions are summarized in the following:
1. There is a great need for institutional measures for the management of stress in Greek Public Administration,
2. There is a great need for public servants training in prevention, detection and management of stressful sources in the workplace and,
3. There is a great need for the institutionalization of the occupational physician in all public services.
Because of the success of this workshop the European Institute of Management and Governance of EPLO will organize in the first quarter of 2015, two more workshops for public services in Northern and Central Greece.
