H.E. The President of the Hellenic Republic receives the Students and Professors from the Academy of European Public Law and the EPLO Internship Program
The Participants and Professors of the Academy of European Public Law along with the members of the EPLO Internship program paid an official visit to H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic on August 2, 2015.
The President Mr Prokopis Pavlopoulos congratulated the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) and its Director Professor Spyridon Flogaitis for organizing for twenty years the Academy of European Public Law which focuses on the study of content, and in particular the philosophy of European systems of public law, during his welcoming speech on Thursday, August 27th at the Presidential Palace when addressing the students of the Academy of European Public Law and the Internship Program and their professors.
The President of the Hellenic Republic reaffirmed among others, "Greece's indisputable position within the European Union and the Eurozone". He also stated: "This course allows Greece also through its jurists and the legal scholars of other EU countries to fight for Europe to return to basic principles and values, that may seem forgotten but also to create common democratic institutions and a common Law on the protection of human rights and the welfare state in order to fill in the democratic deficit that currently exists in the EU.
In his reply, Professor Spyridon Flogaitis thanked the President for the honor and informed him that the Academy of European Public Law iof the EPLO, the oldest and most representative of its mandate educational unit, has trained more than 500 students and professionals from all countries of Europe and has hosted for internship more than 150 young people."Please allow me to highlight that we have among us representatives of the World Bank, the Oxford University, the School of Political and Legal Sciences of Romania, Boston University of Cagliari, the University of Paris 2 University Trento, University of Lille, the University of La Sapienza -Roma Tre, University of Milano-Bikoka, University of Valansien, Queen Mary University of London, the Aristotle University, Panteion University, the Athens University and Democritus University of Thrace".
