The EPLO implements a large number of programs funded by the European Union and other international donors, assisting governments and institutions around the world. The main areas of intervention comprise: governance, the rule of law, human rights, public administration, democratization, legislative approximation to the EU acquis, migration and sustainable development. The position is located within the Dept. of Technical co-operation of EPLO. The candidate will be involved in the HORIZON Europe Project “INdustrialisation of Building Lifecycle data Accumulation, Numeracy and Capitalisation” – INBLANC, submitted under the call: HORIZON-CL5-2023-D4-02-01/ Innovative uses of lifecycle data for the management of buildings and buildings portfolios (Built4People Partnership).
INBLANC project will contribute to the building stock decarbonisation by streamlining a lifecycle perspective in building data management. The approach will be driven by market needs and proven innovations and will focus on both the energy and non-energy uses of data: through the efficient integration of the entire value chain, addressing the individual needs of each actor and the establishment of an open ecosystem. Thus, INBLANC main objective is the creation of an open ecosystem structured on the data economy of building lifecycle, based on the four stages of the buildings’ lifecycle according to EN15978 (2011): Product, Construction, Use and End of Life.
Responsibilities
The candidate is expected to:
- assist in the baseline needs’ identification in the building and construction sector
- support the collection of stakeholders’ data and data from engagement activities
- support the mapping of consumer preferences and the collections of energy habits data produced from the use cases’ participants (e.g. availability of communal spaces and their usage rate, feedback from local community on the building's integration and impact)
- assist other project partner in the ecosystem design for the INBLANC toolset
- contribute to defining comfort, wellbeing and societal indicators
- encourage hospital staff towards energy-conservative practices.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Experience
· At least 6 years of professional experience in projects in building’s construction, refurbishment or energy renovation
· Experience in design, structural and BIM software
· Experience in EU projects or national projects related to stakeholders’ engagement for sustainability/green growth/sustainable innovation projects
· Network of stakeholders in the energy efficiency/renewable energy/building retrofitting/renovating topics.
Education
· University engineering degree from an accredited academic institution
Languages
· Fluency (oral and written) in English

- Professionalism: Knowledge and understanding of concepts and approaches relevant to particular functional area.
