Call for Experts: “Technical Assistance for the Support for Children's Rights in Turkey” project
The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) has been shortlisted for the project “Technical Assistance for the Support for Children's Rights in Turkey” (NEAR/ANK/2021/EA-RP/0070/).
The objective of the project is to contribute to the protection of children’s rights in line with the UN Convention on the Right to the Child and the EU Guidelines for the promotion and the protection of the rights of the Child and further contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 16.2 End abuse, exploitation, trafficking and all forms of violence against and torture of children.
The indicative start date is January 2022 and the planned project duration is 36 months.
In this framework, the EPLO is seeking qualified candidates for the two Key Expert positions in the project: 1) Key Expert 1: Child Protection and Care Expert; 2) Key Expert 2: Training Expert. The mandatory requirements for the positions are listed below.

Key Expert 1: Child Protection and Care Expert
Qualifications and skills:
- At least master’s degree in fundamental rights, social services, child protection, social sciences or equivalent (in the absence of a master’s degree, minimum 11 years of professional experience in the same fields is required),
- At least B2 level of English as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages,3
- PhD degree in a field covering Child Protection and/or Child Labour will be an asset.
- Knowledge of Turkish will be an asset.
General Professional Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of child protection or child care services.
Specific Professional Experience:
- At least 3 experiences in developing or implementing or monitoring of services in a public child care institution,
- Experience on EU legislation on Children’s Rights will be an asset.
Key Expert 2: Training Expert
Qualifications and skills:
- At least master’s degree in fundamental rights, social services, child protection, social sciences or equivalent (in the absence of a master’s degree, minimum 9 years of professional experience in the same fields is required),
- At least B2 level of English as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages,4
- Knowledge of Turkish will be an asset.
General Professional Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in the field of children rights.
Specific Professional Experience:
- At least 5 experiences in developing and /or delivering training related to children rights,
- At least 1 experience working with children in disadvantaged or vulnerable conditions.
