Vacancies for the EPLO International Traineeship Program

EPLO is currently seeking trainees for its International Traineeship Program, which will be implemented at the EPLO Rome Office.

During the program, the trainees will:

  • Assist the Office in its mission and activities in archival and bibliographical research on History.
  • Visit archives and libraries (Italy, Greece).
  • Transcription of documents written in Latin/Italian/Greek language.
  • Assist in bibliography indexing.
  • Provide support to events, conferences, committees, meetings, workshops, etc.
  • Assist in the implementation of academic and educational activities of the Office.

Required:

  • A Bachelor's or a Master degree in History, Greek or Italian Literature or any other relevant field.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and a strong sense of thoroughness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Good knowledge of paleography.
  • Excellent knowledge of Latin/Italian/Greek language.
  • To be proficient in English.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team.

The EPLO international traineeship program is aimed at young professionals who wish to take their first professional steps in an international organization and work with a highly qualified team.

The traineeship program has a duration of three months and physical presence in the office is required during the program. At the end of the traineeship, the EPLO shall evaluate the quality of the trainee and may offer him/her a job for its Rome Office.
